Just leave it on 24/7, and turn the rest of the system off. That's what I do with my Pro. Let it stay on, it won't hurt anything.

With your setting, are you using RCA output, or a digital output to a dac? I am wondering if those setting makes a difference on all outputs or just the analog output.

You can't compare the RCA output with the digital outputs . The coax and optical quality depends on the dac its going to. The RCA output is analog and is already processed by the dac in the Wiim.

Very interesting, I also have been trying to find a way to increase my TV optical input. It’s much lower than my digital streaming, no matter if I input it to my Pro, or my Dac/preamp. maybe I will unfix the volume of the Pro and try this new per source volume.

Yeah, you probably correct, they probably want UV meters and tuner dials.

In the meantime I have been loving this very simple, amazing sounding, cheep , Bluetooth receiver with LDAC. It even has a screen that scrolls and shows whats playing, and it sounds 98% like my Pro.

One thing is for sure. Some people are going to be disappointed.
