When my amp is turned on, I meausre about 10K higher temperature vs ambient. Are you sure your amp switched into standby and you have the current firmware installed?
In standby there should be no significant higher temperature.
I just tested and activated auto-sensing for line-in and optical (I don't use either). With both active the amp goes into standby 30s after turning off or pausing my tv. Seems like a bug or a bad naming in the app.
Automatic switching from squeezelite to HDMI source when turning on the TV works...
I just added the HDMI in your mediaplayer.py and it seems to work. I can switch to HDMI in HomeAssistant.
SOURCES = {'line-in': 'Analog',
'optical': 'Toslink',
'HDMI': 'HDMI'}
SOURCES_MAP = {'-1': 'Idle',
'0': 'Idle',
'1': 'Airplay'...
I noticed that the standby mode is not automatically activated when HDMI is selected as a input (already created a ticket for that).
Previously to the latest firmware update there was also a bug, that caused increased power consumption (=hotter device).
Just read a little bit more about EU laws and standby power regulation :LOL:
Seems like Sonos is simply declaring, that their devices can not have a standby mode:
I didn't dig too deep in the EU paper, but I think only for network devices like routers higher limits are allowed.
See "HiNA" https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32023R0826
Also the Wiim Pro was measured in this forum with <1W.
Ok thanks!
Thanks for measuring. Standby/off seems too high to me. Thats 52kWh per year!
Is this even compliant with european law? I think off should be <0.5Watt and standby <0.8W.
