    Wiim Amp connection to macbook?

I just checked with my Macbook and a Audio Video Sync Test Video on Youtube and there is no noticeable delay with Airplay.

Audio input issues and amp is warm after being on standby overnight

When my amp is turned on, I meausre about 10K higher temperature vs ambient. Are you sure your amp switched into standby and you have the current firmware installed? In standby there should be no significant higher temperature.

Your TV should be able to do this, I think the Amp doesn't have a chip and/or license to do this.

    Running very hot

There is no shut down. It's on, standby or you disconnect the power supply.

    Running very hot

I just tested and activated auto-sensing for line-in and optical (I don't use either). With both active the amp goes into standby 30s after turning off or pausing my tv. Seems like a bug or a bad naming in the app. Automatic switching from squeezelite to HDMI source when turning on the TV works...

    My WiiM Amp tests

I just added the HDMI in your mediaplayer.py and it seems to work. I can switch to HDMI in HomeAssistant. SOURCES = {'line-in': 'Analog', 'optical': 'Toslink', 'HDMI': 'HDMI'} SOURCES_MAP = {'-1': 'Idle', '0': 'Idle', '1': 'Airplay'...

Not as I know. But you can check the LED, in standby it is sligthly dimmed.

    Running very hot

I noticed that the standby mode is not automatically activated when HDMI is selected as a input (already created a ticket for that). Previously to the latest firmware update there was also a bug, that caused increased power consumption (=hotter device).

    My WiiM Amp tests

I can't find the HDMI in the source list. Is it missing in the code or do I have to adjust something?

@onlyoneme is your home assistant integration also working with the amp?

Just read a little bit more about EU laws and standby power regulation  Seems like Sonos is simply declaring, that their devices can not have a standby mode:

I think the 2-7/8W limit is only for HiNA-Equipment relevant. BTW: a current Apple TV has a standby power consumtion of 0.5W.

I didn't dig too deep in the EU paper, but I think only for network devices like routers higher limits are allowed. See "HiNA" https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32023R0826 Also the Wiim Pro was measured in this forum with <1W. Ok thanks!

Thanks for measuring. Standby/off seems too high to me. Thats 52kWh per year! Is this even compliant with european law? I think off should be <0.5Watt and standby <0.8W.
