WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

Hey, it’s working! Good job Wiim!

Device not showing as playing in Google Home, so can’t broadcast to other speakers.

I won’t be using this thread anymore. I started here believing I could broadcast on chrome cast which was incorrect, and in figuring out a work around ran into the line in issue that already has another thread. If the mods want to delete the thread that is fine by me.

WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

Correct. And the multi room works with a non line in source. Wiim has they were able to replicate the issue and should have a fix next week

WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

Correct. Line in is from a turntable. It works going through the pro plus to the amp. Using the app, when I link the pro plus with the mini, changing nothing else, not only does it not play on the mini, it quits playing on the pro plus. If I have the same set up, but use WiFi as the input it...

WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

For me when I said the line in is working with just the pro plus, that’s using the line out output into an amplifier, it just quits working when I try to link the mini. I haven’t tried a Bluetooth or other output options, but can give it a try later this afternoon, I suspect it’s the same issue...

WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

That’s the issue. The line in works when it’s only using the pro plus. When I link it to the mini, it quits working. If I’m using a non “line in” source like WiFi, I can link the mini and have it play just fine. But when I use line in as the source it stops playing. I’ve already sent a feedback...

Green dot is gone. It was only that I hadn’t acknowledged the default settings for coax and optical out. The line in works when it’s not paired. The linking works when I do WiFi as the input. The issue is when I try to link while also doing line in as the source.

WiiM Pro Plus - Line-In Not Working

I’m having issues from line in as well. It works as a pass through into an amp, but anytime I pair it to something else it doesn’t work

Also just tested on a different turntable that has a built in preamp to see if a front end preamp made a difference. Still nothing when paired

Just an update from more trial, if I use wireless as the input to the pro plus it will synchronize with the mini and play. Still having the same issue of line in stopping playing when I link the pro plus and mini.

The green dots was just for that, I had not looked at the coax or optical connections yet since I wasn’t using them. I’ve submitted through feedback

They’re both freshly unboxed and installed, but I’ll take a look later tonight if there’s new firmware that didn’t download

So it will actively be playing on the pro plus, and when I click the link with the mini, it stops playing even though all the other inputs/outputs are otherwise the same

I picked up a mini to try to get a link play with the pro plus. The mini is hooked to aux in a separate speaker and is able to stream in its own to that speaker. The Wiim plus will be playing from line in, but when I link it with the mini to play in sync the sound stops. First photo is playing...
