Yes, I'm still here too. I have my Mini working well with UPNP. There are I believe three newer products since the Mini debut, but the Wiim staff note about " passing along the note of LMS integration" has passed it's one year anniversary. Caveat Emptor.
Yes, I agree. An optional firmware build with Squeezelite instead of PEQ for Mini would be fantastic for LMS users.. I don't wish to "upgrade" to a Pro or Pro + just to pay for the additional string of code.
The product hype for the new Wiim Plus has reviewers gushing about the sound...
I mistakenly went down this hole without realizing the new features WIIM proposes are only for the Pro. Really want LMS for the Mini instead of buying a new device . " make implementation of LMS/Squeezelite a priority, please, both on the Mini and the upcoming Pro . . "
I agree. Have been utilizing native LMS on Squeeze devices for fifteen years; nearly flawless.
With the original Logitech devices no longer in production, a WIIM utility would likely draw thousands of users over time.
If I want to use Android, I can use my tablet. Not interested in using a subsystem like Bluestack, etc. - they have their own bugs. Windows is widely used ,supports a plethora of hardware, and is a first- party OS.
Firmware can also render bug fixes. It's important to both user and seller to keep up the feature list and firmware updates , otherwise the product is a brick and unsaleable. I really like the DSP. Still want a better PC interface, and both PC and android versions to remember the wifi network .
Mine worked flawlessly when i got it up to a week ago, now it won't connect to my network server while on the same network as before.
I'm two months in, so beyond the return or replace window. Even though my wifi extender sys I'm connected ,perhaps that's a problem . .
