Wiim Pro+ SPDIF input spring operated cover broke

Toslink receivers are all fragile. They often break, even on more expensive equipment.

Decreased volume using Squeezelite vs UPnP on LMS

I had the same issue today. I noticed that the same tracks on Qobuz playing through the WiiM app were louder than playing through LMS's Qobuz app, even though I had the fixed volume setting activated in LMS. I set the volume control to variable in LMS (at 100%) and no longer heard a difference...

    Qobuz integration -- Qobuz Connect?

This is not new, unfortunately. The word "connect" has always been used (at least on the android app) to display AirPlay & Chromecast players.

    Qobuz integration -- Qobuz Connect?

I read that Qobuz connect is being beta-tested with partners now. Is WiiM involved?

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

Have you tested this recently, and if so, how?

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

That sounds like a very plausible explanation, and somewhat reassuring. But it would be good if they could fix this, and "guarantee" what they advertise.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

My DAC does not display sample rates. As mentioned previously, it has a build-in bit-perfect test that displays a character ("P") when the test is successful. So with a Qobuz playlist I can only see the change of sample rate on the WiiM app, and it displays it correctly.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

When I play a Qobuz playlist with songs of different sample rates the correct sample rates are displayed on the WiiM app, that's not a problem.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

I copied the files on my phone and now none of them pass the test, even when played individually. I also tried playing them from my phone through USB Audio Player Pro (through UPNP, with bit-perfect setting), and that fails as well. In my previous tests, these two configurations were...

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

So this confirms what I found? Will check with files played from my phone as suggested above.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

No. Maybe WiiM can give us some feedback on all this.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

How many seconds are your test tracks? The test tracks provided by my DAC's manufacturer are between 3 and 5 seconds long. The check is performed on the whole track.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

My DAC does not display the sample rates. It just displays an indicator (P) when the test succeeds.

WiiM Pro no longer bit perfect?

That's odd. Maybe WiiM can give us some feedback on their test protocol.
