Touch screen of the Wiim Ultra feels and looks nice. The volume wheel not so but according to the Wiim representative at the booth this will be changed. While the prototype is functional at Munich HighEnd the case is more of a mockup not the actual promised sturdy aluminum.

Depends completely on the features. I don't care about the DAC at all as I'm going via digital coax directly into my Hypex PlateAmp speakers. If the Ultra would support uploading of convolution FIR filters I would happily pay the 449€ just for that.

+1, I'm currently also looking at phase linearization. I'm using roon for the sake of convolution but I would love to have it in the Wiim so I can also use it for my analogue sources.
