The point is…the issue is with Spotify/Tidal/Qobuz and their Connect features, not WiiM. And it doesn’t have to be an “Apple Device”. Many non-Apple devices have Airplay capabilities. This should work using whatever Google’s iteration is called these days, too.

Stupid question: have you tried (or considered trying) to connect Spotify to the WiiM from the Spotify phone app via Airplay instead of Spotify Connect? I’d bet the normalization works that way.

Smart Gain (or even track/album gain) would be a biggie for me. Like I said, I’ll stand pat until maybe the next deal. It just bugs me that you could get Roon on the mini but not Squeezelite.

16/44.1 (Redbook CD standard) is good enough for me, in terms of archiving and enjoying music. Online streaming? I'm perfectly fine with Spotify Premium @ 320k OGG. I'd love it if they went to lossless, but I wouldn't pay one more dime for it.
