So far I've tested the Triangle Borea BR03 and Cambridge Audio S20.
They sound very nice on the Triangles but don't like to be pushed excessively loud though, the amp has more than enough power for them but the top end gets a little sharp when really pushed hard, but if in a small to meduim...
Thanks, I just wanted to check if others had the same issue, a customer of mine sent a ticket it to Wiim as well earlier for the same issue but after sending him another update it's still problematic.
Hi All
Has anyone else having issues with noise and pops between tracks using Optical or Coax into an external Dac, I know they introduced the latency adjuster to fix it but after the last update the problem is back.
Current Firmware: 4.8.612257
I just wanted to see if the update was ever done so that when the Amp is in Standby mode the speakers terminals are deactivated, as far as I read here on the forum at one stage it wasn't so and is a risk for shorting the speaker cables if you think Stanby mode shuts it down.
Im using the P50 and felt it made a difference to my sound. It also has more than enough power even when running both USB slots, one for the Wiim Pro Plus and they other is running a fan to cool my amp. No issues with lack of power supply at all.
I think the Dac in the Pro Plus is amazing, I've had a few customers phone me to come listen, they have it in setups where you would expect to find the higher end steamers like Aurender and the likes.. and they can't stop singing it's praises.
I've have to agree that it's really really good, I...
Hi
I'm using a Theta DS Pro Prime 2.
1. Yes it is locked, as long as the app is open before you turn on the Wiim it locks as soon as it connects.
2. I turned the volume to zero and it stays locked.
3. If i change to different streaming services within the Wiim App it stays connected all the...
Im happy to report with the latest update that there are no more pops, clicks or static noise when changing tracks or sample rates using my Pro into a Theta Dac.
Thanks Wiim, glad you got it sorted out.
So Happy!
It is a part Dac part Wiim issue.
I had the same problem with my Theta Dacs using a BD player as a source, some BD players would create a loud pop or static sound when changing tracks, but on different BD players it would be fine.
After some research I found that the Theta Dac doesn't have a...
So far it's pretty much the same as the mini Soundwise but performance wise I find it slightly more responsive when using the App, the Mini had a slight delay at times, so far I haven't encountered that issue with the Pro.
