WiiM pro app cannot find device

In the device settings (of the iPhone app) for your WiiM Pro, under Network Status, you can manually configure a static IP address for the WiiM Pro. I've had good luck detecting the WP since doing that, tho' I'm not certain why it matters, and to qualify, YMMV.

No Apps show in Windows Wiim Home App

Not sure about Tidal "Connect" (apparently a work in progress like the WiiM Home app on PCs), but Spotify Connect will work well from your desktop machine thru/to the WiiM. I use the Windows WiiM Home app all the time because I stream local files and only want to deal with one piece of hardware...

    Snake oil update! 🐍

Maybe the best way to answer your question is to use the service listed on their 貸出 page. Ause apparently will loan these out free for one-week auditions. You'd only pay for shipping from/back to them.

Unable to connect via ethernet to Pro Plus.

My gut tells me that the OP's WPP probably did that, but the WHA they're using may indicate wifi. My router (an ASUS) shows all connected devices and how they are connected (by ethernet or one of the flavors of wifi). I am not sure what the Unifi controller does. Anything trying to connect by...

Unable to connect via ethernet to Pro Plus.

If you log into your router, you can probably double-check if the WiiM PP is actually connected using your ethernet connection or not. The device cannot use wifi automatically anyway, if you've set a security password for your router's wifi services. You need to use one of the mobile versions of...

    Firmware disaster

Check to see if the firmware update changed your audio settings. Was fixed volume on, or turned off by the update? Was the setting for the volume level also changed? Did you have equalizer settings, and if yes, were they changed by the update?

Option on device to ignore DHCP and set a static IP address

It had always happened just after a firmware update, but more recently has started happening randomly, forcing the old unplug routine in every case. I guess I will set a static IP for it (this is a WiiM Pro, not the mini) in my router, see if that changes anything.... but which of the two/three...

Option on device to ignore DHCP and set a static IP address

Oh, I've of course already tried that. When the Home app can't find the WiiM Pro, neither can Spotify connect (no choice of streamers in that popup list). Although the WiiM Pro is assigned a dynamic address (always the same one) by the router, maybe it's simply not waking up from standby?

Option on device to ignore DHCP and set a static IP address

On my PC laptop (wifi), I mainly use the WiiM Home app for Windows, and also occasionally the Spotify connect app. My main use is to stream flac files from another linux PC running as a file server. The WiiM Pro and the file server machine are on wired ethernet. All clients are on the same...

Option on device to ignore DHCP and set a static IP address

Count me in as another user who would like to see the Home app include an option to set a static IP for the WiiM Pro. Apparently, WiiM has put this idea/request on the far back burner, tho', as it's been over a year since they stated early in this thread they would have it in the firmware by...

How to turn off standby mode?

I wish ... But as Jwoody says in post #5, "I am in the US", so I thought it would be relevant .... jwoodywild, does this issue occur particularly after a firmware update, or is it chronic? I ask because several times, updates have changed my Wifi setting (in Network Status) to "on", tho' I only...

How to turn off standby mode?

Strange. I have (and always have had) the Android WHA on a Moto G phone here as well as the iOS version on an iPad, and both have the Never choice at the bottom of the Standby settings list.

    Working coax cable?

I see. Have you confirmed that the problematic coax cables work okay between the WPP+ and other devices with built-in DACs, say like a stereo amplifier?

    Working coax cable?

This suggests to me that your Wiim Pro+ might have a physical defect, either on the case molding surrounding the outside of the coax jack, or internally, blocking the center tip from full insertion. If you compare the ends of the included RCA plug and one of your coax cables that doesn't work...
