BJC are well built and reasonably priced. They have cold welded joints which are superior as well. AQ uses cold welded joints on its better cables, too.
My MIT Digital coax connectors were problematic as well. I found a 75ohm digital cable from Monarchy Audio that did the trick, but Monarchy went extinct a long time ago.
While both are fully capable of independent output settings, it appears that I am limited to having one output active at a time.

Coax outputs always sound better as optical outs tend to be jitter prone. That said, if your system isn't highly resolving, you may not hear the difference which is perfectly fine, too. Highly resolving systems like mine tend to make what seems like tiny things far more apparent. For fussy old...
