    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

TI has discontinued the 5534. WIIM will have to look for an alternative over time. Fortunately, there are plenty.

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

Hi Kirkoff! Congratulations! I solved the exchange in a similar way. The 2 pcs 5534 and the panel are not damaged.I desoldered the 5534 in no time, cleaned the pads with braid and alcohol, then centered the 1611, soldered a pad and finalized the soldering. Panel cleaning and done. The whole...

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

Zacci and not Sacci and yes, I think it was worth the change. I'm glad the WiiM sounds better now. Its sound became more natural (probably because the sound is not so scratchy) and the stage became bigger. But what stands out is the more natural sound, even if it's just background music. This is...

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

I came up with many possible solutions: OPA627 OPA1611 AD8065 and yes, the lm47910 was also among them, but I didn't want to try it out, I just wanted a slightly better sound than the 5534. I didn't want to risk damaging the circuit with smd converters and many replacements. Of course, smd...

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

I totally agree with your opinion.I was talking about the difference in general terms. Most of the exchanges ended with a positive result. And of course there was a case when 5534 was returned to its original place. There may be several reasons for this, but ultimately the subjective impression...

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

I see a fundamental lack of knowledge. Why do you want to install a dual channel opamp instead of a single channel opamp? It will destroy your wiim and or opamp. Just because the type number of the opamp is higher, it does not necessarily mean that it is better and it is not at all certain that...

how can the distortion data be better than the factory ones that produced the ic???

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

    It lies VIIM to the analog output thd+n "(analog out) 0.00023%" SA5534 "THD + N at 1 khz (TYP) (%) 0.002" I think I solved this lie. OPA 1611 "THD + N at 1 khz (TYP) (%) 0.000015"

For those who have sufficient soldering skills, I recommend replacing the opamp. I think it's worth it. ;)

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

Yes, the opamp ic in the ViiM probably works at +-12 volts. (That's why I measured 24 volts on the pins) Factory max. It was +-20v So we are within the limit. Although I don't understand where is the 0 (ground) of this? OPA627 Supply voltage, Vs = (V+) - (V-) 9 (±4.5) 30 (±15) 36 (±18) V...

    Wiim Pro+ OPAMP replace

I answered earlier to measure distortion. I can't do that. RTFF! I only have a multimeter.I measured 24v on the power pins. I measured it several times. Soldering...it was very easy for me.
