Looks like it's been stripped of anything useful. The reply from MiniDLNA includes the base version number:
<modelName>Windows Media Connect compatible (MiniDLNA)</modelName>
<modelNumber>1.3.3</modelNumber>
It might help to identify issues if we knew what version of MiniDLNA was installed - assuming WiiM haven't modified the

Can you play from Tidal in the WiiM app? This will test device discovery and internet access.
Unplug one and see if the device is still listed as a target (to rule out caching of device list).
The quick answer is to use the free version of MinimServer instead as there are lots of issues with Windows Media sharing, but I'll have a quick look.
EDIT: For some reason WMS isn't sending artwork at all at the moment! I'm sure I've had it working before.
When you say 'connecting direct with my laptop' do you mean by using a cable, or using Spotify/Tidal connect? In other words, is it just the one phone you're having problems with?
I avoid Amazon where I can so no Audible for me, but I've never heard of iBroadcast.
It seems to be cloud storage for your music (with apps to access it). I would have thought limited use for LAN based audio, but I'll take a look.
I'd much rather have third party media server support than have to rely on the mediocre (bring generous) indexing that Sonos and BluOS provide. It's one of the reasons I use my Sonos speakers as UPnP renderers.
The My Music functionality for local content is very limited.
If you don't have a NAS on which to install a UPnP server, you could try installing KODI on your phone to make your music available over DLNA to the WiiM app (via Home Music Share). Whilst I'm not sure it'll give you everything you...
The default sort order is controlled by your media server, and you can only override that in track view.
What media server and application are you currently using?
What media server are you using?
The server responsible for the low resolution artwork in this thread is MiniDLNA, so if that's what you're using and it's possible to replace it do so, as it's only one on its many faults.
Why is the WiiM device redistributing the audio?
It's surely no different (to the WiiM device) than casting from PlexAmp to a group including a WiiM device, or using the Tidal app to cast.
Maybe I've misunderstood, but I can't think of a single audio app I use on Android that doesn't have the ability to cast to Chromecast groups e.g. BubbleUPnP, mconnect, Hi-Fi Cast, Podcast addict e.t.c.
I appreciate that you'll never be able to create groups with both Chromecast and Linkplay...
Nearly a year on and there's still no way to do this with the WiiM Home app.
If it's for local content and you use Android then try the BubbleUPnP app paired with MinimServer, as most media servers don't work well with playlists.
Have you tried disabling IGMP Proxy/Snooping? I needed to disable the protocol on a TP Link switch I have as discovery was sporadic.
You say that it's specific to the WiiM Home app, so are you able to connect to the WiiM using its Chromecast or UPnP interface?
Do you have any other devices...
In a previous post I linked to a Lumin site that stated a Plex Pass subscription is required if casting from the PlexAmp app, but that could have been dated from when the PlexAmp app was subscription only.
I use RoPieee and if I want to use the PlexAmp interface then I need a Plex Pass...
I'm a little unclear what it is you're after as you're describing a digital streamer with onboard storage.
If you're looking for improved indexing of your local content then most use a NAS/RPI/Mini PC to handle those duties. With a media server installed it would index your music and make it...
3 devices, 3 different results :)
I started a playlist from BubbleUPnP to each renderer then from another device used UPnP Tool to put the renderer into REPEAT mode.
I was able to set Sonos, it correctly reported REPEAT_ONE and it repeated.
I was able to set WiiM, it reported that it was in...
