Mic integration wouldn't even be necessary. It would be awesome if there were a setting that acted like a "loudness" button on an old stereo.
All modern wifi speakers have this feature built-in automatically. Having this as an option on a hifi setup via Wiim would be amazing.
An alternative to your suggestions is compatibility with Room EQ Wizard. REW has a huge following already and is commonly used as an alternative to DIRAC. It's painfully easy to use as well and would probably not have any associated costs with being able to leverage direct output from the software.
I think this would be nice but BruteFIR is not super user-friendly. Being able to upload a Room EQ Wizard output biquad file would make it accessible to a dramatically larger audience.
Room EQ Wizard (REW) is a massively popular DIY room correction, favored by DIY audio enthusiasts looking for alternatives to DIRAC. It is also highly regarded by audio science review.
Ideally it would be possible to upload a direct output file from REW.
