I SOLVED THE ISSUE....no thanks to apple...The home app on my mac doesn't even give the option of adding an accessory.
That said,I used my old ipad i forgot about to add the device to home, remove the password requirement, and it works with my mdm iphone now.

WIIM has concluded that the MDM on my phone by my work org is causing the conflict. There is nothing I can do about that, short of setting up another iOS device.
Well, as I noted, I was using an optical digital out, and switched to coaxial digital, so you're basically summarizing what I said completely wrong.

It makes zero difference, I won't be able to hear it, but why would 192 lhz / 24 bit work for optical for me and only 16 bit 192 for coaxial digital? Is it a receiver limitation?

That's nice but why won't it play? I have an agreement with Apple Music....the songs are off Apple Music, I have a playlist, but it won't play.
