    NAS Recommendations

Ofcourse. But I like the nightly updates but also do not want the hassle of building my own containers.

    NAS Recommendations

And you do not need docker for LMS on Ubuntu or an Rpi. I actually have a Synology NAS that is docker capable but run LMS on an old Rpi. My music files are on the NAS so I just share that folder to the Rpi. There are more updates available for LMS on Ubuntu and Rpi than for the docker version.

Keyboard will rarely pop up when searching

I am using gboard as well but on a Samsung phone so cannot compare. I never had a problem with the keyboard not popping up.

Looking for suggestions: replacing Plex (Linux/Android)

It does. You can group devices together in a Chromecast group and then cast from Plex/Plexamp to the group. Music will play synchronised on all devices in that group.

    Harmony Logitech

LMS has been open source from the start, before Logitech acquired Slim Devices and the software was still called Slim Server.

Looking for suggestions: replacing Plex (Linux/Android)

Yes Chromecast. I have no idea, I do not use the equalizers in the app. I use the equalizer on my amp.

Looking for suggestions: replacing Plex (Linux/Android)

I have been using LMS for almost 20 years. Integration with smart phones and tablets is just better using Plex and Plexamp. And Plex retrieves more metadata and organizes it better. It is a more modern approach. I bought the WiiMs to replace my Squeezebox devices and was happy to see that these...

    wifi configure

I cannot try it out as I do not have Wifi with 802.1x at home. (And I am not using Wifi but a wired connection.)

Looking for suggestions: replacing Plex (Linux/Android)

Try them both. They each have their pro's and con's. They can coexist.

    wifi configure

I think @zdenek is referring to 802.1x protected wifi. Often referred to as WPA(2) Enterprise. I am not sure WiiM supports this. It is different from having to log in via a web portal after the connection is established. Credentials are checked upon connecting to Wifi but instead of locally...

Looking for suggestions: replacing Plex (Linux/Android)

That would be my suggestion as well. You will not see any of the video capabilities of Plex. I have actually just moved away from LMS. It is still running in my network, but have not used it since I bought the WiiMs in the last week of December. Plexamp just has a better interface than LMS and...

    Rca or coaxial

That depends on which DAC is better. The one in the WiiM or the one in the amp.

Wiim amp and Spotify and AirPlay 2

I have two WiiM Pro+'s but I assume they work the same as the Amp when it comes to Spotify Connect. You can connect from the Spotify app to one of them and use the WiiM app to link both devices together. Works very well. Although most of the time I use the other option mentioned here, create a...

    speaker for wiim pro+

If it has an RCA or AUX input you can. It might be that the WiiM has a better DAC, but in that case make sure the Sonos speaker does not digitize the input first. Which I actually assume it does because it will probable be able to distribute the input to other Sonos devices on the network.

    speaker for wiim pro+

I am quite fond of Edifier active speakers. I have a WiiM connected to an Edifier D12. It is a stereo speaker in a single cabinet because a desk I do not have the room to have to speakers in an evenly divided stereo setup. The cabinet is made of wood and the sound is good, especially for a...
