Don't worry too much about lossy/lossless etc Spotify sounds good to me and I'm a good way up the hifi ladder so to speak. Bit rate numbers can look impressive but in reality there's not a great deal of difference. I enjoy qobuz and Spotify equally.

Bingo 😀 it seems I needed location and Bluetooth enabled on my phone to set things up. Amazon casting now I prefer to use their app (Spotify isn't this fussy mind)

OK searching around I eventually got it to recognise wiim but when I try to play something I get this

I'm trying to cast from android ulefone note 9p, I've never even looked at alexa not a clue about that save to say I would rather tap the screen than talk instructions, would it hear with music playing anyway? All on 5ghz. Clicking on set up my device does nothing to help.

I can only speak about mini but it's software glitches and delays on my android have finally got to me. I have persevered especially due to the competitive price but no more. It always takes min 10 seconds to open, then click on, say amazon, another minimum 10 seconds to respond, nah I can't...

Yes same here on Android, also wiim itself takes about 10 seconds to load after tapping the widget.
