    WiiM Amp Pro

I was suggesting it as a feature option, the App doesn't do it right now.

    WiiM Amp Pro

I think the windows app could offer a solution here. It could simply broadcast sound to the WiiM from pc. Like a sort of wireless sound card.

    WiiM Amp Pro

The WiiM Amp is a great device for a second system, or someone who wants to listen to music in better quality than other similarly priced options affords, without having to navigate the labyrinth of bad advise that is starting out in hifi. I think it's to be applauded as an effort to make hifi...

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

Yeah I run my WiiM at 0.5v and then I get good range on volume dial.

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

Wow, I was expecting the ultra to be the same size as a the amp.

    Show us your Amp setup!

It really is impressive what the WiiM amp can power

2v provides far too much volume early in the dial for me.

New WiiM Home App on Windows and MAC

It would be nice if the Windows App could work as a virtual sound card, so that anything in windows can just be broadcast to the WiiM

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

In the good old days you grounded your amp with your turntable. A PC doesn't have the same benefit.

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

I still find that 2v is ludicrously high. I have my WiiM Pro Plus at 0.5v and it's still hitting 90db at well before 3/10 on the volume dial. Every other source I have connected to that amp runs somewhere between 0.15v and 0.3v and hits 90db at 7/10, which seems more reasonable.

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

Why do we even 4v line level? 0.15v line level was fine for years, and 2v just sounds far too loud too early in the volume dial. I dread to think what 4v would sound like, it might even kill my preamp. I've never had a ground loop issue, with following very basic rules in terms where I connect...

    WiiM Ultra

So is there anywhere I can pre-order the ultra? Or indeed the amp pro?

    Use inputs as presets

I look forward to seeing it in action! The auto-sensing is not something WiiM can easily fix, as it's a fault of my phono pre-amp, it has no power switch of it's own, and always seems to send a voltage down the rca jacks, even when no sound is present.

    WiiM Ultra

I own at last count: 12 amps, 4 cd players, 2 tape decks 4 turntables 2 WiiMs 8 sets of speakers, 4 tvs 1 blu-ray player. Yet somehow I only have 4 remotes. I would argue most people have 1 of each at most, and as such it's a unique use case that WiiM won't cater to.

    WiiM Ultra

The main thing I use the WiiM remote for is an emergency pause, and when I use my WiiM amp, to make sure the thing actually turns off For those tasks it's great as it is. Either way the ultra clearly comes with the same bundled remote as the other WiiM's that's the design they've settled on...

    WiiM Ultra

I prefer the bluetooth remote to an IR one, my CD player has an IR remote and when you are more than a few meters away from the unit, control is spotty at best, while the WiiM remote is always perfect.

    WiiM Amp Pro

I have no shortage of bass in my setups, indeed many people ask me where I've hidden the sub, so I will take the simplicity of a stereo setup and good stereo imaging over adding a third speaker somewhere.

    WiiM Amp Pro

I own several pairs of full range speakers, so I tend to avoid subs, but thank you telling me about the PFFB

    WiiM Amp Pro

So is the amp section the same, but the DAC different? I'm confused.

    Allow to disable startup sound

The amp's start-up sound only happens when you plug it in, if you turn it to standby, no sound.
