I think the general concencus on here is that the DAC on the Pro Plus is better sounding than the Pro. So why couldn’t an external DAC improve the sound further?

Yes, this is just what the free version generates. It sends the test tones via Airplay to the WiiM. Any analysis is in the paid version. I guess to do the further tests you’re assuming that the HouseCurve test tones would get corrected in the WiiM?
Pretty much the same. I did do all three options earlier on and there wasn’t much difference to my ears. I don’t have the full package for the HouseCurve. I just used it as a baseline for a manual adjust in the WiiM PEQ.

Unfortunately classed as a “New Romantic” band limited their appeal I think. A band that developed as they grew from a New York Dolls persona to cutting edge electronica. When you look at their line up at the end there was Sylvian, Jansen, Karn and Barbieri. All still highly regarded musicians.
