Hi JonnyH I agree with you and feel totally in agreement with your original experience. I experience the same the same problem that you do. I connect my Wiim pro plus to the Mojo 2 through optical and ten sound is AVERAGE, ...but when I stream directly from the Amazon app in my android Itab...
