Toslink can not fully resolve 192khz. Many streamer platforms have tracks that produce 192khz which means the mini will come up short.

It can provide a bandwidth sufficient for spdif stream with 192 kHz audio. And it's not always guaranteed.

I second the ideal of a usb c output. I be a nice option to have with the next model.

After some investigation, I've learned that my issue was with the Toslink mini adaptor. When I removed it and used a different DAC, I was getting 192khz. However, I still can hear some static at a very low volume but, it no longer impacts the sound.
