Apple Music song glitch

I’m streaming Apple Music (hi-res lossless) to my WiiM mini via Airplay 2. Occasionally a song will glitch/stutter momentarily. What I find unusual is that if I restart the same track it will (usually) glitch in the same place. I’ve tried the analog and digital outs from the WiiM to my receiver but the issue persists. …I don’t think the WiiM is to blame. Is this possibly an issue with my iPhone? Does it cache the stream before sending it out off to an Airport device?

Try turning off Sound Check in the Apple Music app. It worked for me.

Thanks! I’ll give that a try. Weirdly, since upgrading my receiver to an Outlaw RR2160 (from a turn of the century Pioneer), the problem has mostly gone away. Could the DAC in the Pioneer have been the culprit?
