Balance control

One of the reasons I stay with my "old-fashioned-but-new-technology" amps.
Treble, Bass, Loudness, Balance....for me it makes sense. Also because I nearly never find myself in the sweet spot listening position. But in concert hall or opera house I mostly always sit a more or less outside the ideal axle.

None of my amps Rega or Audio research have Treble or Bass. EQ would be easier to do in the digital realm and would be balance.

Each of my Accuphase, Marantz or even the entry level NAD amp has it. But I cross fingers that you find a solution. Never understood why so much "modern" amps loose this possibilities. But for more than a decade it seems this features are "not audiophile".

Could not the EQ control be spilt left and right then the output of one side could be lowered.
That leaves the option to turn the QE off as well as balance.

My vote also for the balance function. I don't like switching to Bluetooth to have this function in connection with my active speakers.
