Just want to create a thread where you can share any new product ideas or things you'd like to see us do and try. :)

As I welcome and anticipate the release of WiiM PRO, in future I would like to see an all in one product of a Streamer with good Audiophile DAC inside, that could make the present available Desktop DACs, a run for their money [ as the present Mini does to other streamers available ]

Though the present WiiM Mini and upcoming PRO has a DAC, but its not upto the DAC's from ESS or AKM and few audiophiles who have tested the WiiM Mini, have expressed the same.

Also, personally would welcome it to have two Coaxial, Optical inputs with other regular inputs and outputs

Personaly I think streamer should be streamer but great streamer. And DAC should be standalone to reduce price and give as a chance to pick right DAC for as. I supoose wiim Pro will be close to ideal what I imagine as a perfect streamer.
Main issue nowadays is unstable future of service we are using. Changing of providers and technology is what cause problems. Fast reaction and modifications are essental for me. I want to just turn device on and listen to the music. Now everytime I play music I am aware if tidal works today and sees wiim or if my router sees wiim or if tidal or amazon changed file type during night. Is it still bit perfect? Did last update break something? That is what is important for me. I can add external DAC whatever I like for 50$ or 5000$ but streamer must operates always.

As the Mini and Pro both have a microphone, perhaps something like Sonos' Trueplay? It makes room EQ painlessly simple, but for some reason they limit it to their own speakers, can't be used with their Port or Amp and external speakers.

It's for room acoustic correction? How could you measure at the speaker position when your listening position is far from that?

Trueplay? They don't, you walk around the room with your iPhone, using its microphone; it's not done at the listening position. The speakers just play bloop-bloop-bloop tones.

WiiM Mini is not available in India

If Wiim Mini is available in India through Amazon, it would be a great thing.

Hope WiiM Team take this into consideration

Hi guys, my only complaint is that the input mode is set in the browser tab. Could bluetooth, wifi, etc be moved into the device tab? I keep getting lost trying to find it.

Hi Dweeeeb2, thank you for your great suggestion. I'll raise it with our product team. Please stay tuned!

Hi again. Currently whilst playing a track in Amazon if I want to restart the song I need to hit <| then |> (back then forward). WiiM goes to previous track. In most other apps simply hitting <| goes to the start of the current track first. Suggest making this the same as sometimes the wiim gets a bit confused jumping around tracks

I suggest adding a button to the multiroom menu, which will immediately unjoined the entire group. Or use the inactive box of the master device for these purposes. Choosing each checkbox is tedious

A more refined request for the future is to add the ability to create presets of multiroom setup. Turning on the desired group with one tap will be convenient. Also it would be great if this feature is available via the API.

And the most necessary. Could your company's specialists complement the existing integration so that it can work with WiiM products? Currently, only devices on the A31 chip are supported.

You can find my fork of the mentioned Home Assistant component on github. With a limited functionality but at least working with Mini.

If the Mini isn't going to be able to play Amazon Ultra HD multiroom I'd like it to automatically scale back to standard definition rather than having to go into each individual device and switch off Ultra/HD and then when you're done having to remember to switch it back on again.

I'm not a big mobile phone / tablet user, they're often switched off for days and use Alexa commands a lot of the time for playing music on both single device and multiroom.
It's a pain to have to go and find a phone, wait for it to switch on, open the App and the go through 4 devices and change all their settings .... it's a pain even if my phone / tablet happens to be switched on to the extent I've reverted to using Echo Dots or Chromecast Audio for multiroom.

It'd be good if this was also integrated so it worked with the new Pro coming out so you could have say 2 Pros playing Ultra/HD and 2 Minis playing standard definition in less critical areas ... all as one multiroom group.

I wouldn’t think that would be possible - Alexa MRM works on the basis of a receiver/distributor model whereby one device in the group receives the stream and then redistributes that in sync to the other devices in the group. As a consequence, MRM groups play at the resolution of the least capable device in the group. Also, you can’t specify which of the devices takes on that prime receiver role, so you couldn’t nominate say a WiiM Pro to accept the high quality stream and then downsample and distribute that in sync to the less capable Minis or other echos.

OK ... that makes sense but a shame. The 1st part with the Mini's woould be good though to autoswitch when it's multiroom.

Onlyoneme, thank for your work, I tried to use your integration. Works well for playback control.
But as you can see, I am interested in multiroom management and automation of these processes. Including between devices on the A31 platform and WiiM.
In the official app it works without any problems. I hope someday it will be possible in the Home Assistant.
