I’m an early adopter. Over the many updates the Mini has almost rivaled the streamer in my main system. Really pleased with its performance feeding a Schiit Modi3 DAC. When I’m not on Tidal I usually stream Radio Paradise, World Mix. Many times I find a track I’d like to put on my Tidal playlist. However there’s no metadata im the WiiM app displayed. Any chance you can put in a feature request for the next development cycle to at least display the track and artist?

I requested this when they first released Radio Paradise on the Wiim app - hopefully they can introduce it soon.

I don't get it... Metadata is already available if you listen to Radio Paradise via vTuner. What am I missing?

Metadata isn't available if you listen to Radio Paradise using the WiiM Home app.
That's not correct. There are 2 ways of listening to Radio Paradise in the Wiim Home app:
  1. Via the dedicated Radio Paradise music service: this doesn't have metadata.

To be honest, I don't really understand why they bothered creating a dedicated service for RP, given it was already available in vTuner...

Hi Ccristal,

The RP in the vTuner doesn’t support lossless audio as the separate service. I’ll raise this metadata issue to our Eng. team and hope we can fix this shortly. Thank you!

Not sure I understand... are you saying vTuner downsamples the original RP stream?

Radio Paradise provides their 4 channels in several streaming formats. The vTuner and TuneIn streams listed are usually the AAC lossy streams. The WiiM app “points” to the non-interactive flac lossless stream. There is an interactive flac stream where you can skip ahead. You can use that with LMS and the Radio Paradise app. It would be awesome if @WiiM Team could implement that with meta data.

True, the streams provided to aggregators like VTuner tend to be the lossy, lower bitrate equivalents - there’s no downsampling by the aggregator, they just get what RP allow them to carry.

i was about to request the same thing. yes, metadata in the wiim radio paradise lossless app would be such a great improvement. i use the wiim app to play it and i m sad i cannot get the song names

I'll add my vote too. My main reason for buying the Wiim Pro is to listen to the flac stream from Radio Paradise. I'd like the metadata display, plus I would like it available as a Preset. Also if we could get the skip button implemented, that would be a nice bonus too.

Another vote here. RP is awesome, but would be even more with metadata being displayed. Otherwise I always have to go and look on their site if there's something I'd like to explore more of...
