Sorry but are those measurements of the Flex's analog outputs or digital loopback?
Furthermore, if Flex has ASRC on spdif input why those jitter results differ so much?
It definitely doesn't work.
My app is configured to have normalization enabled, but when I choose WiiM as playback device it is not applied.
In fact, I find a notable difference in volume between songs, which when played directly from the app on my smartphone (with headphones) is not there.
The...
Volume differences between tracks exist and are unavoidable. Especially old digitized songs have a rather low volume.
It is extremely boring to have to adjust the volume at every track change. And in fact for this there is the normalization function in the client.
If such a function is missing...
Hi everyone,
I need support for the WiiM Mini, which I use to stream Spotify.
In practice I can't find a way to set the normalization. When I use Spotify connect to control playback from the WiiM, the normalization setting in the settings is grayed out. And in fact between the tracks there is...
No, but I tried the fade-in setting and aside from the annoying effect that steals the beginning of the song, it doesn't work if I move forward in the track (like manually switching to time 1:32 so to speak).
Hi All,
I've recently been using my WiiM Mini connected to the Toslink input of the Motu Ultralite Mk5 and I'm experiencing a systematic glitch at every start of a track.
This doesn't happen with other Toslink sources connected to the Mk5, so I assume it's the WiiM that generates the problem...
Useless comments aside.
This is what WiiM FAQ says:
So I wonder, if the spdif output is set to 96kHz and you play 192kHz audio, does WiiM resample?
Is there some limiter that controls the true peaks in that case?
What about a possible reduction of bit depth (if spdif out set eg to 48/16 and...
Ok thanks, this is a good answer.
However, those who opt for this mode know what they are usually doing...
EDIT. Enabling this option may forcefully prompt the user for the volume to be set to 100% first
You've probably never had to deal with noise and distortion problems induced by digital streams (regardless of audibility).
Even professional audio interfaces, if not carefully set in their DSP settings, are not bit perfect. See Motu Ultralite Mk5 for example, where if you mute unused mixer...
Dear WiiM Development Team,
your streamer is simply a fantastic tool.
There are a couple of things I would suggest though.
The first, which frustrates many people, is the fact that the audio from the digital output is bit perfect or no.
Now, for the peace of all users, I would like to ask...
