Opamps in a dac just might be a waste of money I asked Andrew Sparks if I should put his opamps in my dac or my amp his response was change both which makes sense because the opamps in your amplifier will change the sound so if you can't do both you might be wasting quite a bit of cash.

I have heard this amp chip in many other products from aiyima, fosi and others and it's nothing special it's just ok at best. But with them you can change out the opamps to take it up a notch not sure this can be done with the wiim amp. But that doesn't bug me as the older ess dac being used...

Yep it was working fine and now the window showing all the filter types doesn't open.

I did two of them.

Right now it's on 4.8.529057 I did reset the device back to factory. Before this I was on the latest with the PEQ and the dac filters added.

Good idea. I just tried that and once again when selecting EQ the sound goes off input is set to wifi and the PEQ is turned on. You can't override it. The same happens if I try line in as input. The unit forces it to PEQ and wifi. It doesn't seem that a factory reset is a real factory reset if...

Well today I pull the PRO and replaced it with the MINI which did an update since it wasn't being used and no iEQ ssues on the mini. Looks like the PRO is screwed up.

Yep I get the screen blackout also. Unfortunately I need the eq to help with room correction but I do have the mini which I'll swap in tomorrow. Would you know if WIIM even knows about this issue and if there was any response from them.

Well good to know I'm not the only one. Another issue is if I increase the volume the sound sometimes goes off and have to back to Browse and click on different inputs to get the sound back on. I'm beginning to wonder about this device way to many fixes going on in a month. Seems like one fix...
