Right now, the lack of compatible active speakers is a real hole in the Wiim lineup and a blocker for me recommending Wiim over Sonos for anyone who needs a mix of built-in and standalone speakers for whole house audio.
OMG... so, there's look-ahead on UPnP servers, where there shouldn't be & no look-ahead on web services that can return paginated results, where there should be. Please fix this, @WiiM Team @WiiM Support
Hi - it'd be great if a look ahead list would autopopulate search results as you type. For example, instead just by typing "Cowboy C", I should see Cowboy Carter, etc. Having to hit return before seeing any results is pretty 2010...
Hi - I'm a TuneIn Premium subscriber & would like to be able to access the TIP stream throughout my house. Ideally, I would automatically be redirected from TuneIn regular to TuneIn Premium automatically. It shows up in search results, but I'm not able to log in persistently. Have any of you...
Yes - we have Chromecast turned on, so the rule is "Speakers in the group with the Spotify-style icon (there should only be one from the group, the others should be gone) and not the speakers with the Chromecast-style icons." Fairly convoluted from a user perspective, but it does work.

But, this is exactly how it works on iOS / MacOS - Spotify can tell that there is a Wiim group and shows a different icon for them - see this screen grab from my Mac & the "Dentist Office" group (silly nickname... not an actual Dentist's office...
No - Spotify shows all of the Wiim group members as individual speaker endpoints and doesn't show any speaker group icons.
Hmmmm... just out of curiosity, do you see a speaker group icon inside Spotify? And, what type of Android device is that? I'm on 2 different Google Pixels.
This is the...
I have a 14 zone WiiM setup (11 Pro/Pro+ & 3 Amps) in a Android/Mac/Spotify-focused household.
We love that WiiMs support Chromecast, which makes direct connection from any old Android app to a single set of speakers a breeze.
But, we don't love that multiroom WiiM groups need to be duplicated...
Do a factory reset & decline "Enable Chromecast" in the setup process.
I don't think there's any other option to turn off Chromecast once it has been set up.
