    Pro - Power Consumption

Happy to inform that I have been running the Pro off the second rail of the Alo Shanti (1.2 A) for four months now, for hours, every day (retired), Qobuz only (of course, plenty of Hi-Res). I “splurged” on IFI LAN Silencer (into the Pro) and two short runs of Cat 6 Cable.

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

Thank you for following up. The Green Computer is a nifty, frugal solution, but I still kinda feel that I have to pay for something I could do myself… I think I’ll follow CrystalGipsy’s and EricJ’s suggestions. That’s what I was hoping was possible from the beginning. Maybe, the tablet will...

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

Do not doubt it. I was just describing my experience. I apologize for this digression. The introduction of this “sub-plot” was unnecessary (it does have the conspiratorial element, though). 96 or 192 notwithstanding, the Pro is, as used, far more satisfying streamer than the Mini. Within my...

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

The 192 issue… The Mini did not run it. Sometimes on the IFI it would show 192, but would turn into 96. My internet is running on 600+ Mbps. I have no other “consumers” on the router other than Netflix (but that is when I am not running Qobuz). It was obviously the Mini. I posted on the forum...

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

So, I just run another Ethernet cable to the NUC, buy Roon, install the app on the tablet and use the tablet/Pro as a remote…

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

If you don’t mind my unarticulated question- how is the NUC connected to the Pro? Let’s say I get a tablet to use with Roon and download the Roon app. on it…

    DIY Roon Nucleus for Pro

Hello, Had a Mini. Could not get 192. Qobuz suggested to get a Pro with the Ethernet Connection. Got one. Still low static on a very few tracks @ 192. Will talk to Qobuz. Other than that, the Pro (like the Mini) - a really, truly, brilliant product. Here is where I need help with it: Been in...

    Pro - Power Consumption

Is the 1.2A (being fed from Allo Shanti) enough power for the Pro? Would like to replace Mini with a Pro because of the wired Ethernet. Qobuz told me that for a 192khz output I would need a wired connection, WiFi was not enough. Would not like to change my setup- Mini/Pro - Allo Shanti- IFI Neo...

    Idagio

IMO, among other things, Idagio’s “library” is more extensive (regretfully no Hyperion). The “new music” selections are “on the cue” , the app. is excellent, the recommendations (both “critical” and “trending”) are also great. And…it’s cool. It is from Berlin.

Optical output issues (again) at 24/192 kHZ to external iFi DAC

After reading the forums…So many users, with so many different DACs and under so many different circumstances and yet the same problem.

    Idagio

Second that. Idagio is THE Classical music service. But, here comes the Audiophile bug, no Hi-Rez (?!)

Optical output issues (again) at 24/192 kHZ to external iFi DAC

I did. To both. For almost a year I never noticed. Never looked at the streaming “speed” on the Ifi. I was just happy listening to my music. Now that I decided to try Qobuz… Still, the quirks notwithstanding, I think the Mini is a uniquely solid, high quality product, at the right price.

What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

$99 Pure audiophile Mini Streamer. No DAC, no multiroom, no “frills”. Nothing but perfect streaming. WiFi or LAN. USB output though. 95% of Ifi streamer (practically the same device) for LESSSSSS. Four times LESS. There will be one in every room at audio shows before you know it. The Mini is...

And again, today, it works. Just when I asked how to proceed with the warranty claim…
