I was thinking more of linking it to one particular device (similar to the remote) so that they become one device. It sounds like it would be a separate product, as Wiim mentioned customised software, but it could also be optional to convert an existing Mini/Pro.
Either way, I think it would be...
Hi, and thanks for the reply, @WiiM Support
I think a customised Wiim Mini would be perfect as a 'Wiim Sub'
The only concern would be the DAC in the mini. It would be more than sufficient for this purpose, in my opinion, but there will likely be some 'audiophiles' who would like a better one.
Not a lot of speculation on the 3.5 mm connection.
I'm assuming it will be a headphone output, possibly using a CS43131 chip, but it could also be a mic input for room correction, with a Wiim mic sold as an optional add on (the other new product?).
It's impossible to please everyone and you're unlikely to find a device which has only the features you need and nothing else.
My AVR must have about 100 inputs/outputs/features/sound modes etc I will never use, but I still bought it because it has the features I need.
I do this with one of my Pros (I have volume fixed on this one) with the other I've lowered the max volume further as a precaution as I use it to control system volume and little hands can easily get hold of the remote.
