The display can show the name, author of the song and cover. After switching to standby mode, widgets could show the weather for today and the next few days, or other useful data.
A license fee is needed for LDAC and APTX HD. If it is to be WIIM Ultra aspiring to a more premium product than WIIM Pro Plus, it should support better codecs.
We are waiting for more information ;) There are many questions. How big will the display be? Will it be touchscreen? Will the case be larger than Pro Plus? Will the same DAC be used as the Pro Plus? Internal or external power supply? Will there also be a sound USB input?

The DAC/ADC analog section is much larger.
The digital section has also been redesigned, see the power circuits - probably for better filtration and noise reduction. A lot of electronics for such a small box :)
@onlyoneme yes you are right there are 2 pcb inside. It is possible that the api returns the general hardware version.
