This is a critical point that gets lost with too many specs and features focused individuals. The non-fussy app and its constant software development is worth the price of admission compared to so many others.
Agreed, I don't see the value there at all. They will be forced to up their game...
Thats also how you can set aggressive price targets and actually hit them as a manufacturer. Feature creep inevitably means a higher price, so if you plan to stick to the target then the features have to be locked/frozen at some point fairly early in the design process.
It has been stated previously in this very thread, it is both a USB input and output. You can use it either way, and if you require both simultaneously (i.e. output to a DAC and input from a storage device) then you can connect a USB hub to expand the number of ports.
No thats not what I meant at all, your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired.
You've once again chosen to disregard the thread title's tongue in cheek aspect, and ignore the OP's stated disclaimer, while parroting your measurements or bust lecture/dogma. As I said, that goes over...
The truly astonishing part is just how many members choose to completely ignore the stated disclaimer in the OP, instead getting up on a soapbox and once again waxing poetic about measurements, and stipulating what is the so-called "required" spend vs. the delusional.
Get over it, or if you...
You are supposed to setup via the browser address pCP.local, just use an Ethernet connection temporarily to do the initial setup including WiFi, then once thats done you can disconnect the Ethernet cable.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no GUI via a monitor and keyboard as you are...
Which software do you have running on the RPi?
I use exactly the setup you describe, currently my instance of LMS runs on piCorePlayer.
In the past I'd also had an instance of Ubuntu hosting LMS running on a Raspberry Pi 4B, and that too just worked.
