And you do not need docker for LMS on Ubuntu or an Rpi. I actually have a Synology NAS that is docker capable but run LMS on an old Rpi. My music files are on the NAS so I just share that folder to the Rpi. There are more updates available for LMS on Ubuntu and Rpi than for the docker version.

I am using gboard as well but on a Samsung phone so cannot compare. I never had a problem with the keyboard not popping up.

What make and model is your phone, and which keyboard are you using?

It does. You can group devices together in a Chromecast group and then cast from Plex/Plexamp to the group. Music will play synchronised on all devices in that group.

Try them both. They each have their pro's and con's. They can coexist.

I think @zdenek is referring to 802.1x protected wifi. Often referred to as WPA(2) Enterprise. I am not sure WiiM supports this. It is different from having to log in via a web portal after the connection is established. Credentials are checked upon connecting to Wifi but instead of locally...

That would be my suggestion as well. You will not see any of the video capabilities of Plex. I have actually just moved away from LMS. It is still running in my network, but have not used it since I bought the WiiMs in the last week of December. Plexamp just has a better interface than LMS and...
