Artist presets are only available in "Advanced" browsing mode (USB Input and select media servers). You can create a bookmark but that'll only save you a click.

Did you allow the WHA to index your files ("Advanced" mode)? If you did, switch back to Legacy mode (via vertical ellipsis menu). Are your tracks visible in BubbleUPnP?

Assuming it's pulling from a media server it can't make any changes. Depending on the capabilities of your server the negatives do generally far outweigh the positives (grid view, additional sort options in album view and A-Z jumpbar), but it can't hurt so give it a go!

The UI is a little more modern but it's very limited; only the following indexes are available: Albums, All Artists, Tracks, Playlists, Genre and Folders.

I haven't been able to reproduce your second issue using Bluetooth as source, but if you can reliably reproduce it and document the steps it would be worth raising the issue in a ticket with WiiM. I'll raise the UPnP PAUSED_PLAYBACK issue when switching sources as that's clearly a bug.
