Pioneer aren't best known for home audio speakers - are they from a mini system or similar? Think I would be prioritising upgrading them before getting a sub...
Cheapaudioman, despite his clickbaity video title, concluded that the WiiM Amp sounds better than the Loxjie A40.
The Loxjie is only about £40 - £50 less than a WiiM Amp but has no streamer...how is that a better value proposition?
I have noticed that with the last two Amp firmware updates it will not start the update process unless I reboot the Amp first. Without doing this the app either hangs (on my tablet) or fails and prompts to try later (on my phone).
Not had this behavior previously, or with any of my other WiiM...
Tiny-Fi. WiiM Mini; FX-Audio DAC-X6 DAC/Pre-Amp/Headphone Amp; Witologie S1 Power Amp (S.M.S.L A50 clone). Driving a pair of Sonos SP100 speakers recovered from the loft.

Currently I have a Denon DCD-50 which although a full CD player I use as a transport only...

TV, Shield, Panasonic Bluray and AMP were all playing nicely together, my point is that the problem has only developed since the latest AMP firmware with the CEC 'fix'. I would contend that switching off auto sensing for HDMI should do exactly that.
I have had a very quick and helpful reply to...
Yes, the TV is set to HDMI CEC on (Anynet+ in Samsung speak) to control an Nvidia Shield and Panasonic Bluray player - it is no more configurable than that.
We have a Samsung TV connected to WiiM AMP via HDMI ARC and also to a (SONOS) home cinema audio system via an optical connection. The home cinema is the default audio output source (to take advantage of surround sound and Dolby Digital) but we occasionally use the AMP audio for predominantly...
