Pro firmware update 4.8.606344 date 20240201

I have noticed that the volume change kicks in before the source switchover, at least for optical sensing. I was listening to a TIDAL track throughout the house today and began a youtube video on my PC (optical from pc>wiim, autosensing). The volume of the tidal track spiked and then the source...

Ah yup, played some music and looks like that did it! Thanks

Pro firmware update 4.8.606344 date 20240201

@Brantome hmm, odd. Everything up to date on my end and any volume change seems to be persistent across all inputs:

Have you tried clearing the cache for the apps? I haven't experienced this issue with Spotify or Tidal

Pro firmware update 4.8.606344 date 20240201

@Brantome does the app fail to reflect the visually in real time? I tried hopping between sources in the app and expected to see the slider switch between the source levels, but it shows the same

Anybody know how the per-source volume control works once enabled?

Pro firmware update 4.8.606344 date 20240201

I'm glad to see the remote stability bug fix. I was pulling my hair out after thinking all my remotes were running out of battery the last few weeks. Interested to see the 12V function play out.

Chromecasting to Wiim Pro that is linked to Mini, no sound from Mini

This is an unfortunate limitation, I believe because Google does not support 'linkplay' via chromecast. Google home is some hot garbage.

    Chromecast audio over Wiim Multiroom

Circling back on this - still an issue, unfortunately. I'm trying to leverage my Plex library more and more in place of Tidal and it's very frustrating to not be able to leverage multiroom. No blame on the WiiM devs here, sounds like it's purely a Google-locking-things-down issue. Funny, I...

    HDMI Arc

Necro'ing this thread to second the request. This would be a fantastic product feature set. The only flaw in my living room setup is the need for 2 remotes - one for the television and another for volume control of the WiiM. Most TVs don't show for volume control via optical. I'd love to use my...

How to add Tidal album/playlist to a Preset?

Thank you for uncovering this @ihearurdog! Based on the UI, I assumed this was relegated for use only with Spotify and assumed I was left with 4 useless buttons on my remotes. Tested and works great!

    Default Volume Level

@taniknight & @Brantome I could have sworn I replied back here, but my mind must be playing tricks on me. I did indeed submit this as a feature request ticket as suggested!

@Brantome thanks for the suggestion, feedback sent!

    Default Volume Level

One of my favorite WiiM capabilities is essentially the ability to replace the role of a preamplifier in an audio chain, and allowing me to remotely control different zones both as a group and independently. One issue that I've encountered, though, is volume when adding a WiiM to a listening...

    12V trigger not working

Wanted to surface this as it may be a fix for those of you experiencing issues here. I needed a 12V triggered power supply in my living room as I have a "dumb" tube amplifier there with no frills- just an on/off switch and a volume pot. This power supply triggers on and off effectively with my...

    What is this icon?

Ah that makes perfect sense, thank you!

    What is this icon?

On my wiim app device dashboard there are icons next to some of my devices and not next to others, however I'm unsure what these represent. Can anyone shed light here? It's not Pro vs mini...

    Multiroom using Optical Input

Hah, probably true! I've had no issues with Spotify or Tidal, but always left the PC itself on a high resolution because 'why not?' Welp, I guess this is why!

    Multiroom using Optical Input

Aha! Hopefully this helps someone else who runs into this issue. While the Pro had no issues playing back a 24/192 source via the optical input, I got only silence on my other Wiim Zones after linking/syncing. I had to drop down the source to 24/48. Once I did this, the system effectively syncs...
