Sonos has launched some major updates to their app with a focus on UX and maintaining their lead in this area over competitors! I think! WiiM needs to move in this direction - things like universal search that works properly, web app that can be run on any device, and of course the way sonos...

well, it loks great, all the hard wiring with crimped contacts. must sound freaking awesome! many manufacturers don't come close - with their cheap PCBs etc... 👏

maybe @ wiim team could add this function as a configurable option. "delay playback when waking from sleep" + you choose the duration to suit your system?? so a silent tone plays for however many seconds you want when you are waking up from "sleep"

If I remember correctly some work has been done in measuring the subatomic changes in conductors/dielectrics after currents have been flowing through them. If I find it again I'll post it here. But it makes sense that these physical changes can cause conductors to change in behaviour over time...

if you're taking requests/suggestions about what to check out: hifi-tuning berlin (and WA-Quantum) - obviously famous for their fuses but also some other somewhat snake-oily stuff. but it could be interesting to see/listen to the demos they have set up? (never heard any of their products...

there is also a school of thought (rubbished by many) that noise in the digital signal pathway has an influence on the performance of a given system. alpha-audio and the sound of ethernet have done some good work in this area... they think that common mode interference in the digital signal...
