I use the same speakers, very good for the cost, (they are always for sale secondhand) I have a REL quake running at speaker level from these speakers, they sound great in my small games room:)
I think the Wiim app on Chromecast and Android TV would be great, I know you are able to stream to Chromecast as I use it to get a now playing screen on my Google nest display, but I find this can be fairly unreliable and often have to restart the screen to get it to show the now playing screen...
I checked the installation pdf for the Wiim pro, no mention of the fast flashing white lite like there is in the Wiim mini pdf:(
