That would be ideal. I would even be happy if Plex was fully functional within the Wiim App. The last time I checked, when displaying all albums by an artist, it just displayed a selection. The missing albums could still be found via search though.

Have you tried disabling Release Type grouping in Plex?

Think of ALL the extra WiiMs you can sell if WiiM supported remote Plex servers! Great use case with Plex’s impending change …

Giving WiiM a potential excuse (still the lack or approach of communication even if an NDA is in place...).

I'm wondering if this is something like a tech integration using Plexamp 5.0 specifications which are rumoured now already for more then a year at Plex end. With Plexamp not the main focus for Plex as a whole, it could have been delayed few times already due to shifting priorities and team downsizings..

I've found that searching for a track in Plexamp is more successful than searching for it in Plex within the WiiM Home app. I sometimes get no results with the latter. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, browsing experience on Plexamp is just better overall and one of the reasons why so many of us are hoping for a solution to directly "cast" from inside the original Plex apps. No Airplay, no Chromecast, but a dedicated protocol like Spotify connect or Tidal connect. More & more it starts feeling like an unfeasible thing to ask unfortunately.

According to @RyanWithWiiM , the team still actively reads these forums, but maybe it's best to submit feedback through the app as well.

And the (in my experience) poor Chromecast behavior is also not helping. Casting from the Plexamp app to WiiM is finicky as best (while eg to a Google Nest Mini (bathroom) is working perfect every time).

Small frustrations that I didnt have with Plexamp headless and are honestly heavily undermining value of the WiiM... If multi-services streaming just working fine isn't the baseline I wonder why I'm here...
