None of the above. What I'd like to see are features like Apple Carplay allowing access to more music selection options - playlists and music search. I would be a big help to allow other people to pick what to listen to without needing to get out their phone, install the app, etc.

Oh yeah, I meant to add that Presets are useful in serving this purpose (music selection on the Ultra touch screen display), but are limited to 12. Using them is a bit like having a CD collection of 12 discs - OK but not great. Or you have to download, install the app, get your phone out, open the app, sign into the music service, select things and search - which isn't really a runner for kids, family, especially visiting family (for a weekend) and so on where you may not want to share your streaming service login details.

The following points would be nice to have on the Ultra display:

• A text only display with track meta data.
• A text only display with device information like current volume, input, output, sample rate, etc.
• The option to select VU meters from the screen by scrolling, as you currently have with the album art displays.
• The option to select a clock display while playing.
• The option of bigger fonts on meta data display.
• Volume knob increment settings (via WHA)

Why did you think its a good idea to sell the Ultra with a screen and not provide a simple file browser to browse music. This is a punch in the face for the customer and makes me feel you hate me and are making fun of me. I hate smartphones and the only reason buying the Ultra was to use it with a screen and a remote without having to bother with a smartphone even when i just want to listen to something.
Dont even start me with the 6W+ power draw in the supposed standby mode. Is it mining crypto while i think its off?
I just feel sad for giving money for the device.

Wiim have said they are looking to develop an on-screen interface to access the contents of an attached USB drive that may go partway to meet your requirements - you currently can use the dozen smart presets to initiate playback, as well as the recently added radio menu.

It does sound as if you didn't do much research before your purchase despite your strong feelings about its apparent failings - if you are still within the return period, you can of course send it back.

You could get a smartplug and turn it off when not in use.
At my rate of electricity it works out at £1.10 per month assuming 6 watts on or off.
I use a smartplug with energy monitoring and my usage this month for 5 to 6 hours per day cost me 74 pence and that includes the vibelink amp, and turning off when not in use.
I am very pleased with this.

The way you stated it your vote for an interface to play USB content from the touchscreen might get overlooked.

If you want to direct your request at WiiM directly, you can send feedback through the WiiM Home app (More => Feedback). This would require a smartphone, though.

Alternatively, you can just visit faq.wiimhome.com and file a ticket there, using any web browser.

The spectrum analyser is a nice gadget, the current one is quite OK. But I might not have it either. On the other hand, I would gladly give up the artwork (of course it can still be an option) for READABLE information: Track, Time, Volume, Bitrate. Just that. There is plenty of room for this, really! Something like that:
