This morning, on March 18th, 2024, I installed an update for the WiiM Home app. According to the changelog, the update promised improved organization of Qobuz tracks. However, upon using the updated version, I discovered a significant drawback: the update disrupted the previously almost flawless handling of track metadata especially for classical music enthusiasts like me.
Previously, the app neatly organized tracks by displaying the title of the musical work, followed by the composer's name, and then listed the individual movements as separate tracks. This meticulous arrangement greatly enhanced the user experience for classical music aficionados like myself. However, with the latest update the tracks now appear as an uninterrupted list of adagios and allegros, which makes navigating classical music albums difficult.
I earnestly hope that the developers can revert to the previous method of organization. For the time being I will try to install the former version of the app.
