Please review the WiiM Pro Plus update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us. This firmware update is being rolled out in stages, with devices updating sequentially over the next few days.

4.8.717458 (In Progress)

Release date:

5 / 19 / 2025

What's New:
  1. Queue Limit Update: Playback queue is now capped at 3,000 tracks to improve performance. Further optimizations are in progress.
  2. Enhanced DSD Playback: Resolved stuttering during multi-channel DSD file playback for smoother high-res listening.
  3. Stabilized Wi-Fi Connection: Updated the Wi-Fi driver to enhance connection stability.
  4. Device Discovery Enhancements : Improved stability and connectivity for WiiM Home, Spotify and TIDAL apps.
Bug Fixes:
  1. Plex Playback Fix: Resolved playback failure when Secure Connections is set to "Required".
  2. TIDAL Connect Fix: Addressed the issue of track skipping delay and corrected track duration when using the HTTP API.
  3. Optical-in Playback Correction: Fixed swapped audio channel issue for optical input.
  4. General Performance: Stability improvements and behind-the-scenes optimizations.

I've done that still happening. I've also reboot a million times. Factory restored even. It just continues to disconnect (in the off chance it finally connects) Then goes through a continuous cycle of rebooting switching between a yellow light or fast blinking white to no avail. About to put this pro plus in the trash.

Does anyone know the basis for the #2 item in the Changelog:
  • Enhanced DSD Playback: Resolved stuttering during multi-channel DSD file playback for smoother high-res listening.
Assuming DSD is still converted to PCM prior to DSP & DAC, what is the reference to "multi-channel"?? For all the 2.0 (no Sub-Out) products, how is Multi-Channel DSD (or mch-PCM for that manner) treated (not talking the impending WiFi/Virtual 5.1 working from an Ultra)?? Are the Surround Channels added to their respective Fronts?? What of the Center Channel - duplicated into both Fronts equally?? Or does WiiM simply "strip" the mch signals and play the Fronts??

No firmware update for 45.days and people start getting nervous ... ;)

... while others are complaining about the high frequency of updates. :D
I'm not complaining about anything... just a little reminder where the energy will be on the latest born, a lot of things remain I imagine common to all the machines..if we put aside the particularities like screens etc.

And I agree that there's no reason to complain for owners of the WiiM Mini, WiiM Pro and WiiM Pro Plus. (y)
