I requested removal from 1.56 chromecast. Received the penultimate version 5.2.711448 with 1.68…

It does not cast correctly from the Qobuz app. 96kKz gets transcoded to 44.1. Time to go back to 1.56 again…
Bummer. Thank you for giving it a try this quick.

Checked it twice, second time after full power cycle. Bummer indeed. Waiting now for a version with 1.56.

It surprises me that others claim no issues.

Has something changed regarding ARC? It has worked perfectly for months but since this update, after some time switched off, there is no sound unless the Ultra is rebooted.
Yes, see release notes:

I already feared it was going to cause more issues than it would do good, but I haven't received the update yet.

I'm concerned that my TV will no longer play through my Ultra to my speakers via HDMI cec which has worked fine to this point. It just works every time whatever the Ultra has been set to. No manual intervention necessary. Can anyone confirm that will still be the case with this new update?
Also can I stop the Firmware update if I don't want it?

The option (which has been there) didn't do anything (useful) so far. As long as the correct setting still works as before, there should be nothing to worry about. It's a one-time setting. Once you have it according to your needs, no further manual interaction is required.

Hi jamster,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please help us investigate by sending feedback through the WiiM Home app: go to the More tab and tap Feedback. Once we receive your report, our engineers will look into it promptly. After that, we will assist in reverting your device to the previous firmware version so you can check if the issue still persists.

@WiiM Team
Is an option without any transcoding (aka bitperfect) finally implemented for DLNA casting?
Hi onlyoneme,

Currently, we do not support bit-perfect playback for DLNA casting. However, I will forward this feature request to our engineers, and they will assess how to implement it.

Ok. If I remember correctly it was promised at the very beginning as the lossless alternative for AirPlay.

Doesn’t Audirvana use DLNA? No transcoding for me when transmitting to Ultra (all the way to 192kHz).

Bummer. Thank you for giving it a try this quick.

I am now testing QConnect so the beta firmware has Chromecast 1.68. And now I wonder if the Chromecast issues I found with 1.68 are an issue with the current (non-connect) Qobuz apps. Perhaps they were. not updated to support Castlite?

Has anyone received this update?
It seems to be taking a very long time this time 🤔
