Bouncing menus - why.?!

Anybody else noticed (and been irritated by) that some menu lists bounce when opened? Why? Looks cheesy!
Yes. If you see it, you'll notice it instantly.

It happens at least using the integrated TIDAL GUI on Android and is extremely annoying.

The menu options for Amazon Music, BBC Radio and TuneIn dip and rise as the page loads. Is that what is being referred to as bouncing?

Is dip and rise specialist terminology amongst app developers who hate users? ;)

Yes, that's it, more or less. Irritating and useless, to say the least.

Ok, on first opening the menu, there’s a row of dots while it assembles the content which then slides up to replace the row the dots were in. I don’t see anything amiss with that tbh. Admittedly once you go back to that page it does quickly dip and rise again which arguably isn’t needed as it has the info already - maybe they could fine tune that, but considering all the other stuff they’re working on I wouldn’t see it as a priority fix.

On the other hand, if that’s all we have to complain about, I’d say they’re doing well 🤣

Quite disturbing. The vTuner implementation shows how it should be done.

Some of us remember being greeted by this on our televisions at the end of the "broadcast day". So I'm not bothered by the bounce.

Android users who don't want to get seasick should turn off the "Animator Playback Time Scale" in the developer options. 🤮

I do not see any bounce (iOS). It may be a low bandwidth issue.
