    dreaded firmware update day

The added problem is that when a firmware update appears, it seems to immediately affect my ability to stream live radio through Roon. I understand needing to let customers know that a new firmware is available but why would the message mess the usability of the devices?

    Improved Alarm Features

The Squeezebox set the gold standard for streaming boxes. A fantastic company before Logitech took them over. I wish today's streaming companies would look to the Squeezebox as an example of how an affordable product can be implemented with a wide variety of features.

    Improved Alarm Features

It's unfortunate. The Squeezebox had a large variety of alarm customization options that really added to the quality of the product overall. I would hope that the Wiim would see that as a value-add proposition.

    Improved Alarm Features

The current built-in alarm on the Wiim Mini is very basic with almost no customization. It'd be quite helpful to add some customization options like an adjustable timing of fading in the audio since many people would be using the alarm to wake up to. In addition, if the pre-selected alarm...

WiiM Pro constantly disconnecting from Ethernet

    WiiM Pro setup problem

Have you looked in your router utility to determine how the Wiim Pro is connected? Your router app should show whether it's connected with ethernet or wifi.

    WiiM Pro setup problem

If you monitor your data traffic on your router you'll notice that the data comes in waves. At the start of a song your Wiim or music streamer app may trigger a download of data. That data fills the cache on the Wiim at regular intervals and therefore if you disconnect you may still have music...

Sometimes Great ... Sometimes a POS

I doubt the culprit is the Wiim mini. I have two mini's and one Wiim Pro and all three work flawlessly. Have you confirmed that you have a consistent wifi signal?

    Restart router

One of my Wiim mini's was struggling to connect and the solution was for me to restart my phone. My first inclination was the router or the wiim itself so I restarted both and did a factory reset on the Wiim but neither of those things helped. I think the app itself is the weak link in getting...

WiiM Pro use case and questions

I was able to fix the issue but there's other bugs associated with passing optical audio from a tv through the Wiim Pro including audio sync drift. The bugs need to be worked out more before this is a real feature that can be used with confidence.
