I pulled WiiM out of the closet to check how things were going. No changes.
There's a lot of talk about external DACs, but it doesn't matter. The problem is in the WiiM itself. I use AUX output. the internal audio processor is constantly turned on and off when the source/state/track changes.
At...
I am very happy for you. But do not deny the reality. There is a topic with 70 answers, where the problem is discussed by many participants. the developers have made patches for some music services . A lot depends on the amplifiers used. But the underlying problem is in the streamer (I'm only...
When will the bluetooth issue be fixed? I opened a ticket a few months ago. Checked with several speakers and receivers - always the same result. The problem is clearly software in nature.
If someone can check the performance of this setup, then I will be grateful.
There are still problems if...
With Onlyoneme's integration, this is implemented very simply. File address can be tracked through developer tools.
For example, for internal storage it looks like this:
The HA has problems with playing playlists, so it's easier to implement the functionality by calling a preset.
I tested...

At the end there will be a list of some of them

I didn't use the app to switch tracks, just to show the status. With or without the wiim app open, the result is identical. when I switch audio / video content on a laptop - there is a click, which is clearly audible at a high gain level.
Now once again I conducted tests using AUX output...
Perhaps this is a problem only for some devices.
For the aux output, I can use static volume, then a small gain will be required from the amplifier. The problem will be unnoticeable. Although it does not disappear anywhere. But I prefer to adjust the volume of the streamer, especially when used...
If a network (WiFi) or bt source is selected, then clicks are present with any output option (Bluetooth speaker does not consider, there are separate problems with it).
If the AUX input is selected, there are no clicks on both output options.
This is one of the tests on a simple build...
Yes, sure. And not just once. At first I thought about the failed upgrade and did a downgrade with the help of tech support, but that didn't fix the problem.
Then the experiments began.
I made videos showing the problem using different amplifiers, input and output sources.
The line output...
Same problem. And I did a direct comparison with the old streamers from Arilic. They don't have that problem.
Interestingly, if there is an inactive output, aux for example, and an active bluetooth connected at the same time. These pops will sound on the aux.
Very strange behavior.
With such a...
Onlyoneme, thank for your work, I tried to use your integration. Works well for playback control.
But as you can see, I am interested in multiroom management and automation of these processes. Including between devices on the A31 platform and WiiM.
In the official app it works without any...
I suggest adding a button to the multiroom menu, which will immediately unjoined the entire group. Or use the inactive box of the master device for these purposes. Choosing each checkbox is tedious
A more refined request for the future is to add the ability to create presets of multiroom setup...
Sounds great. I hope that WiiM Pro with ethernet connection will show impressive results.
I will be waiting for the release of the functionality. Be sure to post the topic on the forum with the tests and the results obtained.
Now I use Up2stream devices and they have a one second sound lag relative to the audio source (bt, line in, usb dac) when they work in a multiroom. It's not particularly comfortable when dealing with videos.
How things are with this on WiiM. Has this feature been improved?
Is it possible to interact WiiM products and Arylic (up2stream series for example) to create a multiroom.
One person says it's possible, I'm trying to find at least some information from official sources, but no one answers.
It is known that the devices are based on linkplay chips. So it should...
