Any chance the Wiim pros can be modded internally to output I2S or any planned devices to offer this ? I currently use Amazon music unlimited on MacBook usb out to Amanero I2S output to feed my diy discrete dac . A Wiim pro type device would be ideal much more convenient to use than the MacBook

The upcoming WiiM Ultra will have USB out so perhaps you could then use a USB to I2S convertor to feed your DAC?

I'm more old school, all of my amp (apart from my wiim amp) are rca, what is I2S, and why does it matter in a world of RCA, optical, coax, usb and hdmi?
