Home server files

I have made all my music files available for streaming on my windows 10 P.C.
When I go to home music on the wiim app it finds my server, correctly labelled, quickly. But if I try to select an artist, album or whatever nothing happens, no list of files is displayed. Thanked of you can help.

If you have only just done so, then Windows Media Server might still be indexing the files.

TBH, rather than rely on Windows Media Server, I'd look at installing the free version of Minimserver - it's a much better UPNP server all round and works well with WiiM

A million thanks, it's all there in a flash with the artwork etc. Shame a lot of my files are MP3, but they sound reasonable going through the WiiM- I only just discovered dongle DAC for my Android phone, which lead to another DAC for my P.C, and ultimately the WiiM P.P. I am delighted with the whole set up, including my nineties cd player and amp I just bought on eBay.. A big improvement on my P.C USB output and Logitech computer speakers, but I suppose anything would be....
