Wiim mini stopped working

Hello had a mini for a few months and it's been fine but from today no sound. Connection is SPDIF to digital input on amp
The cable looks OK (still see red light at end) , switching to a dac into the amp doesn't work either.
Rebooted the wiim. Had to hold down the play button for it to be found. When did the latency and SPDIF test there is no sound.
All very strange ....any ideas?

Just to check basic functionality, does the aux out work?
If plugging in headphones, maybe turn fixed volume off first...

Thanks for the suggestion. Headphones worked. Then they didn't. Then the wiim app went into mode of trying to set up the wiim. After one more reboot (initiated by me) all is working again
