Lost sound suddenly

I selected bluetooth mode in the app. When I went back to select optical for my TV watching I had no sound. Nothing else has changed. I think that maybe the light on the device in optical is different than before. I remember it being white now it has more tan in. Don't know what else I can do to get this right. Any help would be great.
