Trying to Airplay to AirConnect (https://github.com/philippe44/AirConnect) so I can bridge to UPnP devices but it doesn't show up on the list. I sporadically got a few things like AirScreen to show up but none are able to receive audio. Are there any plans to support sending from WiiM to non-Apple airplay receivers or non-airplay receivers (UPnP, Chromecast)?

I have tried Airplay casting (Qobuz) from the Wiim Pro to a CA Evo 150 and a Denon CEOL N11, and it worked but limited to ALAC 16bit/44.1KHz. Chromecast is easier and higher resolution although the Denon does not support Chromecast, which is why I have the Wiim Pro connected to the Denon!

Were you eventually able to get AirConnect to function with WiiM's Airplay Cast?

Could be an issue with either WiiM’s casting or AirScreen’s receipt - have you submitted a ticket to WiiM for their opinion?

This is primarily a user discussion forum and while WiiM do pop in from time to time, they don’t trawl it for issues. Their formal supper route is thru the feedback section in the WiiM Home app.
If AirConnect have a support group/route, I’d try them as well.

Maybe. WiiM also can't "find" my AirConnect devices to Cast to. AirConnect advertises as _raop._tcp devices on the network, and WiiM seems to ignore devices doing that. (similar behavior as when I want to cast WiiM to shairport-sync)Wonder if this is a related issue?

Currently, we're uncertain about supporting AirConnect due to its limited adoption across audio devices. That said, we're looking forward to introducing support for UPnP render devices soon. Keep an eye out for updates!

It was not meant as wisdom sharing. My interest in and knowledge of Airplay is: I know it exists

UPnP will be fantastic.
Another update on non-Apple Airplay, I tried to get the WiiM to discover a Shangling M3 which can act as an Airplay receiver but if doesn't show up on the list.
Marantz receiver, Devialet Phantoms, Edifier MS50 and Roku all show up as available AirPlay receivers.

Echo that, casting to UPnP renderer would be better anyway (as long as it supports FLAC and 24 or 32 bit samples)

Wouldn't you set it on each receiving device itself? Can't see where you'd do that in the WiiM app
